 ATTENDANCE

  • Weekly lessons are scheduled at an agreed-upon time that work for both student and instructor. Arriving promptly each week ensures that the student is able to participate in the entire lesson. Since many lessons are back-to-back, adding additional time at the end of a lesson is not possible.

MAKE-UP POLICY

  • Lessons will only be made-up for student illness or instructor absence.

  • There will be no make-up lessons or refunds for sporting events, parties, or extended vacations.

  • Switching your lesson with another student is always an option.

  • In the event of inclement weather,  we will communicate via text or email to determine a time for a virtual lesson on that day.

MUSIC MATERIALS

  • Music books and materials should be purchased as needed. You can buy music the following ways:          Sheetmusicplus.com, Amazon, or directly from me.

PRACTICING

  • Practicing at home on a tuned-piano or a full size digital keyboard is necessary for consistent progress.

  • Practicing 20 minutes a day is recommended for 5-6 year old students.

  •   For older students, I recommend practicing at least 30 minutes a day.

PERFORMANCES

  • Student performances will include a holiday recital in December and a spring recital in June. Detailed information about these events will be shared at a later date.

PAYMENTS

  • Payments are due as outlined in the tuition document. Students may pay monthly, quarterly, or by semester. A $5 late fee will be added to that month’s tuition payment if payment is more than 10 days late.

TERMINATION

  • A two week notice is necessary to terminate lessons so that I may notify a student on a waiting list. After the two week period, the student's account will be credited or you will receive a notice of an outstanding balance.
